Lip Enhancement - Before & After Photo Gallery

This is a 27 y.o. female from Scottsdale, AZ, who wanted a permanent improved fullness of her upper lip.  Dr. Svehlak reviewed the options for her, including fillers.

Dr. Svehlak performed an upper lip V-Y plasty to advance hidden upper lip tissue forward to give more fullness and exposure of the upper lip mucousa.  This procedure was done under a local anesthesia in about 1 hour.  Her incision is hidden behind the lip border.  She was very happy with the improvement of lip show.

This is a 50 year old female from Culver City, CA, who previously had facial surgeries, such as facelift, browlift, and rhinoplasty, by another surgeon. However, she wanted a more youthful looking upper lip. She felt it looked too long.  She consulted with Dr. Svehlak.

Dr. Svehlak performed an upper lip lift using a mustache-shaped (Bullhorn) incision below the nose to reduce the amount of space between this patient’s nose and upper lip. The upper and lower lips were also plumped using the patients own fat as autologous fat transfer. A natural contour was also achieved for a more youthful-looking mouth and pouty lips.

She was very pleased with her results.  These photos are 6 months post-op.

Lip lift and fat grafting to upper and lower lips.

This is a 23 y.o. female who didn’t like the “long look” of her upper lip.  She wanted a more shortened youthful look.  She was evaluated by Dr. Svehlak.

Dr. Svehlak performed an upper lip lift surgery under local anesthesia.  The procedure took about 1 hour.  The loved change in her lip posture and shape.

This is a 29 y.o. female who had previous lip augmentation by another physician using autologous fat transfer several years prior. She didn’t like the over fullness that was retained within her lips.

Dr. Svehlak evaluated the patient and performed an open upper and lower lip reduction under a local anesthesia to correct the over filled lips.  She was happy with her results.  Her lips have a more normal natural size and look.  These photos are about 3 months post surgery.

This is a 38 y.o. female who previously had liquid silicone injected into her lips for a more permanent enhancement.  However, over several years, she had become displeased with the shape and fullness in her lips.  She was evaluated by Dr. Svehlak for correction.

Dr. Svehlak performed an open lip reduction surgery on her upper and lower lips (more to upper lips) with careful removal of silicone and scar.  This was done under a local anesthesia.  She was happy with the reduction in the size of her lips, especially the upper.

This is a 43 year old female from La Crescenta, CA, who didn’t like the appearance of her long upper lip. She wanted a shorter more youthful looking lip. She consulted with Dr. Svehlak because of his experience with performing lip enhancing surgery.

Dr. Svehlak evaluated the patient. Her upper lip measured 22mm from columella to vermilion border at midline. Dr. Svehlak performed an upper lip lift using a mustache-shaped (Bullhorn) incision below the nose.  7-8mm of skin was removed at midline.

The post-operative photos are at 3 months.  Her post operative lip length measured about 16-17mm. She was very happy with her more youthful appearing lips.
