Ear Surgery (Otoplasty) - Before & After Photo Gallery

This is a 26 y.o. female from Sherman Oaks who wanted her ears in a more normal position.

Dr. Svehlak performed bilateral otoplasty (ear pinning) under a local anesthesia by careful cartilage manipulation and stitch placement.  She was very happy with her results.

This patient is a 46 y.o. female from Simi Valley who not only wanted her ears set back some, but also wanted the height of the left ear reduced.

Dr. Svehlak performed bilateral otoplasty with set back (pinning) of each ear (more to the left ear), and also height reduction of the left ear. This was accomplished by reducing the left upper ear scapha cartilage with suturing, and reduction of the left ear lobe. She was happy with her results.

This is a 24 y.o. male from Van Nuys, CA, who had asymmetric ears.  His right ear was more prominent than his left.  He was evaluated by Dr. Svehlak to improve symmetry and make then look more natural.  He also wanted improvement in his nasal shape.

Dr. Svehlak performed an Otoplasty.  More surgery was done on the right ear to reposition the ears and make then more symmetric. In addition, he had bilateral ear lobe reduction and a closed rhinoplasty. The patient was very happy with his results.

Dr. Svehlak performed bilateral secondary otoplasty, local anethesia, to specifically correct the prominent upper ears.  While on the procedure table, she was given a mirror to guide Dr. Svehlak in the positioning of the ears.  Stitches were placed and tied, while the patient viewed this in real time.  Dr. Svehlak tied the sutures at the exact position desired by the patient.  The patient was very happy with the results.

Dr. Svehlak performed an otoplasty on her right ear under a local anesthesia.  The two subcutaneous lesions (cartilage and scar tissue) were removed carefully.  The result is a smooth natural looking ear rim with no visible signs of surgery.  She was very happy with the results.
